It seems that in the research of education we have the academic base and practical knowledge to design and deliver essential professional development and programs of study for teachers using technology that can impact teaching practice as well as student learning.  There needs to be research that examines how schools could be structured to support professional development grounded in a metacognitive perspective using these tools. Common Core State Standards provide a clear blueprint of student expectations.  Teachers can use these standards to created custom lesson plans for every student.  This is a challenge, but one that holds promise to shape education in the 21st century.

The purpose of this electronic portfolio is to display my proficiency in developing  and teaching  lessons that promote the State of Michigan and International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) standards.  It will also provide an overview of my teaching style and philosophy. Each of the COATT standards is represented in this portfolio on the subsequent pages.
