Netbooks versus desktops versus nComputing vs Fiddlehead

What are some thoughts regarding netbooks versus desktop PC's? I have been hearing that everyone is going to netbooks (from the PC makers) but none of my colleagues seem to be moving that way. I'd say that PC's are here to stay for a while. According to Wikipedia "Netbooks are small portable computing device, similar to a notebook, and are great for surfing the Web and checking e-mail. " With all of the well documented problems associated with notebooks I don't see how a cheaper, less capable version of the same thing will serve us any better. It will just mean that all kinds of applications that we can run on a more capable notebook or desktop won't run properly either. I would say that desktop sharing like Fiddlehead (I won't even go into nComputing) especially with their upcoming direct broadcast, "just like a PC" full functionality "dummy" laptop, is more of the future.
