Waste Reduction Week (WRW) Canada Monday, October 19th to Sunday, October 25th.
The 2009 theme, Too Good To Waste, emphasizes conserving earth's resources to make life on the planet sustainable. We humans always talk about "saving our earth; saving our planet", but the planet isn't going anywhere. We just need to make sure that it stays habitable, and maybe even enjoyable, for our species -- humans!
In 2009, the provincial and territorial WRW organizers across Canada are encouraging individuals to make a difference in the amount of waste we produce directly or indirectly.
Join other concerned Canadians by planning and participating in activities that promote waste-free households, workplaces, schools and communities!
We've created a Facebook group for our local community in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
