Owens Community College eOwens Second Life Campus

Hello Everyone! I am an Instructor at Owens Community College. We are approaching our one year mark for the opening of OCC eOwens virtual campus. We are inviting all of you to visit our virtual island. We have many educators currently using Second Life. Our Instructors at OCC use the eOwens virtual campus as a forum for social networking and encouraging their students to collaborate among themselves. Many students are using our virtual campus to share ideas, collaborate, and work on group projects. Our foreign language students visit our island to practice their language of study both in voice and text in the foreign language translator area.

We invite all of you to visit our virtual campus and explore the possibilities you and your students can experience. Use our open Sand Box to practice your building skills and to explore what others have already created.
