Reading Strategies

I am currently a student in college studying special education and I am always looking for new ideas from others on different reading strategies that can be used in a classroom that has students with special needs. I would greatly appreciate any strategies that have worked well in the classroom so that I have as many ideas on how to work with my students.

Comment by Brianna Strahler on September 29, 2011 at 11:40am: There are so many strategies available to enhance students' literacy development. Did you have a particular grade level or goal in mind? Otherwise I could probably give you a book on strategies! Also, it's important to note that it isn't just the strategy that will help students. It's also the effectiveness of the teacher, and the way that they implement the strategy.
