National Library Week, first sponsored in 1958, is an annual celebration of the contributions of America's libraries and librarians
sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across
the country.
Our nation's school, academic, public and special libraries make an impact in the lives of students today more than ever
and serve as crucial technology hubs for people in need of free web
access and computer training. This year National Library Week will be
celebrated on April 11 - 17th with the theme "Communities thrive at your
library."
