I really enjoyed the 2 videos and the articles.  They made me reflect on how and what we are teaching our students.  If we are truly preparing them for their future then we have to find ways to make their learning and our teaching methods relevant to them.  It comes down to what is best for students, not what is easiest or comfortable for teachers.  As teachers we have to continue to learn and grow right along with our students.  It does bother me a little that today's kids are spending so much time locked into video games, computers, ipods, and TV...that might be a whole other blog post of it's own:-)  I am 100% digital immigrant.  I do remember when our school got it's first computers.  I was in 5th grade and the library had 2.  What was that good ole game (the Oregon Trail!!)??  Whether your native or immigrant we can all continue to learn and adjust to meet the needs of our students!
