After reading the article on digital native or digital immigrant, I am definitely more digital native. I enjoy technology and use it as much as I can in my classroom. I am more than willing to learn about new technology and play around with it. There are many teachers in my school that are digital immigrants and are constantly asking me for help. They are scared of new technology and scared to try it out for themselves.
I enjoyed viewing the videos and found myself shaking my head in agreement with many of the messages found throughout them. These videos proved to show the importance technology is now days. Teachers have to stay caught up with technology or the students are going to be ahead of the teachers. Some already appear to be. I liked the article, "The Day in the Life of Web 2.0." I found some new ways I could use technology in my classroom. I think blogging is a great way to keep parents and other family members who may live away up to date with what their child, niece/nephew, or grandchildren may be doing in school.
