Technology in Education

I am a grade two teacher who does not use a lot of technology in my classroom. How do you use technology in your primary classroom?

Comment by Grace Gorman on October 15, 2011 at 9:16pm: All ofour teachers including grades 1 &2 have a class wikispace where they can post student writing, videos, audio tracks, Voice Threads. They did simple science reports and posted them. The teacher can post links related to what they are studying on the wiki for the class to access. Spelling CIty is a wonderful tool to practice spelling, vocabulary, writing sentences or paragraphs. Even kinder can write their own sentences using their reading lists and you will find them using their listening vocabulary as well. You will be amazed when you turn them loose. If you have a Flip Cam, you can video their little plays and oral reports and e-mail them to proud parents or create video holiday cards to send them as well.
