This is a strange post to be putting up in a ning with so many members.

In my own locale, Greece, the number of educators who engage in dialogue with other educators aroung the globe is really far too small for comfort.

And yet, this may be true in the smaller local settings in which each one of you find yourselves; I read comments like this often enough on twitter and educators' blogs to know that it is not only a local problem.

Is it in the interest of educators or their learners to be isolated and not interested in developing personally and professionally?
