Blogs are absolutely great. I posted some comments about Dimdim and some of the issues I had. I was contacted by a representative of Dimdim given some information. Dimdim has posted a new version and it is awesome. The presenter desktop sharing works very well. The video is very clean and I need a new mike, but that is my issue not theirs. We are moving forward with testing it out doing small group staff development. I show and tell and the audience does and asks questions. We are looking for ways to reduce travel time for teachers and get the training started and completed earlier in the day. Thanks, Kevin.
We have started using Flip video cameras in our classes. What a great little video camera. Our student teacher supervisors are using them to record their student teachers and first year teachers then using them as a tool for discussion. Another teacher is recording all his speech students giving all 8 of their quarter speeches for use in self assessment exercises. I use it to capture teachers and students using technology and for creating instructional videos. The Flip video camera is extremely easy to use and small enough to slide into a pocket or a purse. I love the video.
