Here at TIGed (tiged.org) we are so excited to have a full plate of professional development offerings (pd.tiged.org) this Spring! With 2 new e-courses launching, there are a few really valuable options to choose from. We are currently offering 3 e-courses: "Project-based Learning for Global Citizenship"; "Education to Environmental Stewardship"; and "Educators Inspiring Student Voice".
TIGed professional development program offers accredited graduate-level e-courses that aim to empower teachers around the world to utilize technology to create innovative and transformative global education experiences that build 21st Century Skills and foster global citizenship amongst their students.
TIGed e-courses feature:
· Weekly classes facilitated online, in real time, by an experienced global educator and recorded to ensure full flexibility and access;
· A private virtual classroom space that allows participants to connect between classes to share ideas, collaborate, and engage in meaningful dialogue;
· Challenging and engaging readings, assignments and projects; and
· An approach to learning that encourages personal reflection.
Our e-courses are being offered this Spring on the following schedule:
Education for Environmental Stewardship: April 3-May1; May 8 - June 5, 2012
Project-based Learning for Global Citizenship: April 4 - May 2; May 9 - June6, 2012
Educators Inspiring Student Voice: May (exact dates TBA)
