Using Blogger in Instructional Technology

Last semester I used Blogger for students to post all their assignments and have discussions! Suprisingly, despite being millennial learners, few of them had ever had a blog. They loved it!
Here is a link to one of my students' blogs

The blog is really meaningful :) ... But I'm concerned about a slightly different problem. It's not teaching students to use blogs. Its ensuring the blogs aren't simply abandoned once the project ends or students move on to a new grade/ class. How do you suggest one should handle this situation?

Hmmm. Good question. That hasn't been one of my goals. My sense is that only a few of my students continue to use their blog...most abandon. I hoping they will take up blogging once they become teachers or that other faculty in the program have students use bloggs!
