Today was a good day for me. All three of my 90 minute classes went really well. Here was my lesson plan:

1. Sponge
2. Biggest Gainer notes
3. Finish Problem 1.3 (end of Chapter 1 in our Filling and Wrapping books)
4. Start Chapger 2 (problem 2.1)

The notes went well for all three classes--we solved some real world problems involving dividing ribs among people at a family get together and finding out the correct amount to tip at Texas Roadhouse for a bill of $38.71. Finshing Problem 1.3 was definitely the most difficult part of the day, for I had to help students recall information they have learned over the past two days. However, when we finished, we got to start Problem 2.1, and this was nice because it was a new chapter. Also, students got to work with manipulatives today to determine volume, and they really liked this activity. The best part!?! No blocks got thrown, and they all returned! Actually, the most important part was that I felt my students really learned something by being able to see three dimensions with blocks.

I got a bunch of grades entered during planning, and after school I completed my last two "survey of four instructional websites." This was cumbersome and tiring, but I felt like I learned quite a bit. Needless to say, I'm glad I finished that. Now, the only thing left to do for my EDAP 604 class is to write my paper on the encounters I have had with this culminating project!

However, now it is time for me to go...I have to go pick out a recliner for our living room suit with Lauren.
