According to Marc Prensky (2001b), “… today’s students think and process information fundamentally
differently from their predecessors.” They are “digital natives,” born into the digital age,
while adults are “digital immigrants,” adapting their skills and thinking processes to a new world.
These digital natives have fundamentally different expectations of access and interactions with
technology.
