Wordle

Wow, this thing is awesome! I loved using it :) Not only could I put in whatever I wanted to, I could change how it would appear on the screen. It let me choose from some really cool fonts and not only alter the color scheme, but how varied the colors within the scheme would be. This could be used in some really great ways in the classroom. At the end of the year, the students could use this to create a word cloud about themselves to be displayed for their parents, or at the beginning it could be used to help the students introduce themselves. I used Wordle to create a word cloud of my favorite scripture, 1 Cor. 13. I loved how easy it was to do. I thought that it was really cool and probably could have spent another twenty minutes just tweaking mine. I would have loved using something like this during grade school. Sites like this can really help to get a student thinking and to tap into their creative talents.
