YOUR OWN YOUTUBE CHANNEL –A TEACHING AND LEARNING CONCEPT

YOUR OWN YOUTUBE CHANNEL –A TEACHING AND LEARNING CONCEPT

Do you have your students do projects? Do your students ever do a presentation in front of the class? If so consider this. Tell your students you want to make them look good to their parents, friends (or enemies) and the world. Tell them you are going to get them to do a presentation and you are going to put that video on the class “YOUTUBE CHANNEL”. Tell them you are not going to videotape ant mistakes or errors, they will be able to get it right so that they can “LOOK GOOD”. Everyone will be a star.

If they are having trouble, you may even set up a homemade teleprompter. (You will discover that even with a teleprompter they will be retaining the information. (Go to https://www.youtube.com/  and type in “lambini777” in the search criteria).

Most school have students sign a media release form at the beginning of the year to avoid frivolous lawsuits. If not you can secure the Parents approval.

This concept has worked for me. I was amazed at the positive results I obtained Check out this video. (http://thewebbuilder.com/learn/sci_show.htm.

I have had some outgoing students who, when the saw the camera turned on, became incredulously shy. Two strategies were used to overcome this problem. One was they calmed down when they were allowed to participate with a partner or in a group. Two, They hid behind a overturned table and put on a hand puppet and let the hand puppet do all the talking. They learned all the material, That was my only concerned. They had FUN doing it. That was a bonus.
