About Me
Communication through the use of design is all around us, from the packaging we buy to the roadway signs we see. The position of a communicative designer is very important. The ability to visually connect to the user or audience is important to every aspect of design communication.

As a graphic arts instructor, my primary goal is to facilitate my students’ growth by
• Teaching the graphic design principles through research and analysis
• Exploring the problem solving process
• Encouraging creativity in concept development
• Understanding the need for substantive feedback

Because each student learns in various ways, I feel it is important to employ different methods of teaching that will enable each to learn and grow as a graphic designer. I encourage each student to be candid about what works for him or her and their learning styles. Teaching students the proper technical, methodical and rational creative process helps to build a stronger foundation and helps to produce leaders in the graphic design field.
