My interests are in education for critical citizenship, social change, and global betterment. I am an experienced Master Teacher with classroom and research experience involving education for social justice, Gifted education, working with economically disadvantaged and at-risk youth, working with linguistically diverse students, working in urban communities, urban teacher education and preparation, and transformational organizational reform. I have developed and facilitated numerous professional development programs to assist elementary and middle school teachers with classroom management, effective use of technology, developing culturally and linguistically liberatory curricula, and implementing student-centered, critical, and constructivist learning experiences.
