As an engineer, I worked 10 years in the international corporate environment, first getting involved with personal computers and their impact in the workplace and professional performance. Understanding corporate dynamics, weaknesses and strengths gave me the insights on how information articulation and peer learning developed in corporate atmosphere.
Since then I've also worked 10 years as a ESL-Science-Tech teacher in K-12 environment championing educational strategies that put to work her corporate experience making the educational approach more that of a learning venture for all participants, including teachers and staff. A believer in Constructivism, Collaborative Learning and Project Based Learning (PBL), long before I even knew them as educational concepts, I took up a Master's in Educational Technology, choosing to do it online, jointly between Tec de Monterrey (Mexico) and UBC (Canada). This experience added further depth and academic value to the ideas I had brewed along my years of teaching. Blended learning is the way of the future in K-12 and we must prepare young students to continue their lifelong learning process online, as eager digital participants.
I currently resides in Mexico City, and I'm dedicated to the research and development of technology curricula for K-12 schools worldwide.
I am married and have two children.

With your interest in the Research and Development of Education Curricula, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service. Here’s a public class recording conducted by Nellie Deutsch on Technology Integration.
