Thanks for your response. Sorry it's takenme several days to respond. I'm certainly interested in doing projects. Your academic year is simlar to mine. We'll start the new year the first of march. So you may be right. Although we could do an introductory videoconference with students so they meet and perhaps start something from there on. I know the limiting factor will be the time difference, but hopefully we could work something out.
My students are 5th, 6th and 7th graders.

My name is Gerardo Lazaro, my mother language is Spanish, but I teach in English and I'm the Sciences Lead Coordinator, and I write this message to kindly request your participation in a collaborative project with 5th, 6th and 7th grade students. It is part of my class to integrate the use of ICTs in and out of the classroom, and a project with stuents from another country is a great opportunity for that. Perhaps we can exchange ideas on a short initial project and depending on the effect and results on students we could produce a larger project.
I really hope you are as enthusiastic about this as I am. Please feel free to contact me at anytime at glazarof@gmail, or at my school's email: glazaro@sanjorge,edu.pe
My institution is deeply committed with ICTs and all my classes are dictated using an IWB (SmartBoard) and its associated technologies. I train teachers at my institution in the use and application of Web 2.0 tools in the classroom.
I'll be waiting for your response.
Thank you in advance,
Gerardo Lazaro
