About Me
I'm a 34 year veteran fighting the good fight on the front lines of the high school English classroom.

I do tons of presentations on technology in the Language Arts classroom. Currently my main Classroom 2.0 efforts are focused on my website, GoogleLitTrips.com where teachers and their students can post Lit Trips they've created using Google Earth to track the journeys of great literature.

I'm an Apple Distinguished Educator and a Google Certified Teachers.

Hi Jerome,
I just finished a Google Earth lesson for my website that uses Vocaroo audio links. It was very easy to use and the audio quality seems acceptable. It would work best in placemarks as narration because GE wont allow the audio file to play while using other tools simultaneously. Not my best effort, but here is a link to the lesson where you can find the Kmz file.

Hi Jerome. I was wondering if you and your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks for the promo, Jerome. I appreciate your posting the URL of my site. I got my Master's degree last month and launched the website so now I'm recovering a bit in the summer. I hope to add some new content soon on Real World Math. Thanks again for your help and advice. - tom

Hi Jerome! You probably don't recognize the face, but we met at the East Bay CUE's Cool Tools earlier this month. I was the nervous wreck giving her first presentation on the activboard! I just discovered you're a member here also, so thought I'd drop you a line. I hope you're doing well. Report cards are due this week, so you can guess what I'll be doing this weekend! Have a good weekend!

Thanks for the advice, Jerome. I too work a la Mac but I have never tried the iWeb. That's very helpful to know you created GoogleLitTrips on that. I guess I know how I'll be spending my Xmas break now. Keep up the good work! - tom

Hello sir,
I am currently working on my master's project at the University of Guam where my topic will be using Google Earth to teach math concepts. I am going to create a website for this and I am now approaching the design stage. You can find a discussion thread started by me on Classroom 2.0 under the Google Earth section. It was there that I first learned about your GoogleLitTrips site.

I have been reviewing your site tonight and have found elements I've considered adding to my own design. Chief among these is your "Basics" section. I really like how you accomplished this with video tutorials. I had thought of covering in text some of the key tools of Google Earth, but I am debating adding this type of content on my site, so what do you think?

My biggest question for you now though is what tool or service did you use to create your website? I've thought of accomplishing mine with a blog or wiki or perhaps Google page creator. Yours looks great. How did you do it?

I am sure I will have questions for you in the future. Would you be open to this?
