- My name is Julianna Lyons, and I am aspiring to be a Secondary English Teacher. I attend the University of Connecticut and am currently a student in the Neag School of Education. I have always enjoyed working with and helping kids both inside the classroom and out. Along with classroom observation hours, I have also worked as an teachers assistant at summer school, done countless tutoring hours, and ran many student programs in high school such as the unified theater program. This summer I also worked at a local summer camp, Hartford County 4H, and learned so much about how important it is to be a positive role model for kids.
Outside of school and teaching activities I really enjoy dancing. I work at a Dance Studio and am very committed to my job. I also enjoy reading for pleasure and spending time with my family and friends. I have held many leadership roles at school, and am currently the Academic Chairman of my sorority Delta Zeta.
