I'm growing increasingly frustrated with the entering freshman classes here at my university. The lack of respect, the lack of courtesy, the presumption that they own ALL of my time, not taking responsibility for their own education, not writing down assignments, continually asking what's due when, asking what did they miss when they were gone...
I love the transformation that occurs during the 1st year of college. I enjoy being part of that process, and since I am a younger…

I did a paper called "Exploration: web 2.0" as part of my degree, and for a long time it all seemed very overwhelming, the whole web 2.0 thing.
I decided to focus on my blog, my Classroom 2.0 page and Facebook to keep in touch with friends and family etc.
Gradually it all percolated through my consciousness, so basically:
Good Things Take Time.
Pick your BIg 3 and trianglulate...
Keep standing your ground and articulating your vision and those pesky students will eventually come on board.
Some may come and thank you later.....
Glad to have you as a colleague; we're all in the same boat!

a way cool blog you have...letting your students explore..
I work in the area of songwriting as a vehicle for promoting literacy, although I am presently in the United Arab Emirates as an ICT advisor...anyway I have some music on my classroom2.0 page, some made by students, but also mostly made by me when i play around with programmes like Sony Acid....I am very intersted in students collaborating betond physical restraints..that being said we are very much at a rudimentary level here in UAE...welcme to CR2.0 cheers,
