About Me
I'm Lahsen Ahmam, a teacher of English as a Foreign language in a technical high school in Ouarzazate, south-East of Morocco. I have been teaching English since 1986. I have also worked for US Peace Corps in Morocco for many years as a language instructor and cross-culture coordinator. I worked as a tour guide for 3 years. i got my BA degree from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University in Fez in 1986. I am an active member of Moroccan Association of teachers of English. I took online courses: the first was about integrating the internet into the classroom(Clark University), the second was on Critical thinking from Oregon University last year. Now I am taking the 3rd one on teaching English as a second or foreign language with Iearn. I am an ICT fan. I participated in many conferences in Morocco and abroad namely in Bulgaria, USA, Tunisia. Cheers.

Hi Lahsen, Thank you so much for your interest in speaking with me -- I would be privileged to speak with you about your experiences. I have lots of questions for you, so I'm sure we'll have a fun talk!

I wanted to get in touch to see if we could have a conversation over Skype (do you have Skype? I am doing most of my interviews over Skype, because I can activate video and therefore you would be able to see me. However we could also use another platform if you prefer.)

We are 4 hours apart (and you are 'ahead') so we can probably find a good time when it is evening for you and late afternoon for me. Or, if you prefer the day time, that is OK with me as well.

I have a very flexible schedule between today and May 2 -- are any days in that time period convenient for you? I will do whatever I can to be available when you are :)

I look forward to your response and can't wait to speak with you.

Thank you again!
Erin

Hi Lahsen,
It was so cool to get your comment on my Classroom wall. Thank you so much for your interest in my work, and for your willingness to collaborate. I'm also glad to see that you are part of Classroom 2.0 -- it's an interesting place to find other educators.

I was wondering what sort of feedback you were hoping for. Do you mean feedback on, for example, your classroom lesson plans? Or responses in the discussion forums? I would be happy to give you the sort of feedback you are interested in, as long as it does not conflict with my ethical code as a researcher. If it does, there may be a way to work something out after the course is over.

I look forward to continuing our conversation and collaboration. If you would prefer to have this conversation in private, let me know and I will send you my private email (or you can find it in the iEARN course participants list).

Best,
Erin
