- I am a middle school art teacher. I have been at the same school for 10 years. I love what I do . I have a natural connection with my students. I worked as a professional artist/designer for 18 years before teaching middle school. I owned my own company with my mother/partner. We created hand dyed clothing and I made lampworked glass jewelry. After my mother passed away unexpectedly, I went into teaching full time. I still create jewelry but I also love to sculpt. I add building my own bridge to technology in my artroom because my school doesn't think art needs technology-WOW how wrong can you be? So I am learning all that I can so I teach my students.
