- My name is Maryann Woods-Murphy. I am a Spanish teacher and am currently serving as the 2009-2010 New Jersey Teacher of the Year. I am also the Northeast Conference on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, Teacher of the Year for 2010. I am married to Joe Murphy and have two children, Melynda and Joe. Eight months ago, Melynda and her husband Billy had our beautiful, Olyvia, light of our lives.
