Thank you for you thoughtful precise answer...As you can imagine, it generated for me, many more questions...(Laughing...I do not know if that is a function of my personality or my profession!) Let me begin here, if you do not mind...but I am on a journey of personal-professional growth...What is Chatham's view of "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND," our own state's standards and benchmarks, particularly for Reading and Math, and the work of Howard Gardner? I do realize that that we could write a course on this...and please do not be in a hurry to answer...and Ron, I understand completely, if you would rather not participate in this particular discussion. BTW are you familiar with PCrest, (Pacific Crest) This group does training in evaluation and assessment...Lois

Ron, Can you tell me...What are our present Teacher Ed Majors learning about assessment and evaluation and from where are they getting their information...Are there any specific sources that Teacher Ed Faculty are using? Is it technologically based? Does the old-fashioned observation/assess/discuss methodology still or am I talking dinosaurs?

And pleasantly so....Best wishes for a Happy New Year!...Yes, I have been trying out all of the tech-stuff with Elly, that you have been teaching her. Interesting how she is so eager to share what she has learned from all of you, but repels, (laughing,) what her mother wants to share with her...I suppose that will change when she stands before a room full of children and has her first brain-freeze! She will be looking for all of us at that moment! It's great to see you here. Thank you for keeping the connection going! Lois Feibus
