- I am a 25 year old web journalist working at a newspaper in Virginia. I am beginning a career change into the education field. My goal is to be an English Language Arts Teacher and to eventually become a Reading Specialist. I have a BS in Print Journalism and a MS in New Media. I will be attending Old Domion University for my licensure program.

Hello Shannon! I am also from the Hampton Roads area. I also attended ODU. I had every intention of staying in the media industry but I too took a turn in the education direction. I applaud you for going for what you really want. Good luck!
