Education reformer trying to focus on "reform from the inside" (and have a blog of the same name). Tired of exterior agencies imposing what they feel is best for education with little to no knowledge about what goes on in classrooms and in the hearts, minds, and spirits of learners themselves, not to mention non-traditional learning environments like those associated with social media. Trying to facilitate, more direct, effective, and efficient ways to share and analyze effective learning. See real promise in social media in terms of creativity, self-organized learning as a way to get us past industrial compartmentalized, program- and committee-driven ideas about learning while being able to still address those required tests, standards, and basics as creative and rigorous challenges.
