About Me
Marla’s a woman of many interests and talents – a mother, writer, publishing/sponsorship, consultant, entrepreneur, social justice advocate, peace-building facilitator, holistic practitioner, community leader, mentor, multi-linguist and part-time comedian.

What she brings to the table is broad-base of knowledge and skills having worked in consumer publishing, advertising, sponsorship, fundraising, event and cause-related marketing & social justice initiatives for over 25 years. Her work has pretty much covered all demographic and niche markets in the food, tourism, environment, cultural & media industries.

Her passion and commitment to caring & making the world a better place has seen her participation at the community, government & board levels advocating for youth, education, environment, peace, arts & literacy, access to justice & the elimination of violence against women & girls.

She is a social entrepreneur with unbridled catalyst energy & creative vision and was the founding director of the International Children’s Art Foundation, which was
recognized as an official NGO under the World Decade for Cultural Development by UNESCO.

Most recently, she served as a United Nations delegate to the Commission on the Status of Women. In 1985 under the umbrella for International Youth Year.

Marla was selected as one of Ontario’s 100 Entrepreneurs to watch for by theFinancial Post and e Royal Bank of Canada and has carried that entrepreneurial spirit forth in all of her endeavors.

An avid social media user, she embraces the potential of technology as an influential tool for transformation
