Do Schools kill creativity?

We all have an interest in education
Education takes us into the future that we cannot grasp
We have no idea about what the future holds
Creativity is as important in education as literacy and we should give it the same status.

Comment by Deirdre Bonnycastle on June 8, 2007 at 3:45pm: Great video! In high school, I took art and drama classes to relieve the stress of being geeky. I never saw any encouragement for students choosing these areas as careers.

When I worked at a technical school, someone tried to introduce practical art courses like weaving and pottery, but they didn't get the advertising or instructional support they needed and were cut due to lack of enrollment.

I think every administrator in America shoudl be strapped to a chair and forced to watch this, especially those penny pinching idiots that keep cutting finds from Gifted programs and technology training!
