Hot Dog Book Review: Taylor Swift Biography

This is a book review done by one of our 4th graders. I choose a class "Hot Dog" and have them write a review. We record their voice readin the review and then animate it for our Glog.

Originally I recorded then speaking into the video camera and then removed the sound file in Vegas. We had a nice mike on the camera and this was a good way to use it. Since then we bought a digital sound recorder and it is fantastic! We record them onto a card and can load it directly into Crazy Talk or use Audacity to edit it. Time management is always a proble. I have them write their review ahead of time and then ask for them to be sent down from their class at a time that is good for them. susally right after lunch or a little time before school. With the other things I do I have a backlog of reviews to get done. The ones you see are only a few of the many I have. I would experiment with a few and see how it goes time wise. BTW, You can render directly out of Crazy Talk and get some pretty good results as well if you don't have Vegas. Good luck with it!

I love all your book reviews. I just loaded our Crazy Talk software, can't wait to figure it out and share our first book review. Vegas software didn't come in yet. Are you recording in Audacity and inserting file in Crazy Talk? Also, I'm hoping that your book reviews are on TeacherTube; Nings are blocked. I just need a bit of help w/classroom management; only 45 minutes each week.
