Thanks for sharing the story on the Dot. It's a powerful story! I too liked the story of the Empty Pot. I read that one every year to my students. The Dot reminds me of the story "One Smile" by Cindy McKinley. Its about a little girl who's smile starts a chain of happy events.

Another great one for all ages is The Empty Pot.

This is in our first grade reader and we loved it. Then the art teacher did a lesson on pointillism.
