To minimise the problem of depression among students is to know the root cause of it. By my personal experience I have observed and understood that mostly stress leads to depression. The stress can arise from different factors. The most important factor causing stress leading to depression is the high expectation of parents from their child that they end up creating chaos in their childs mind.Secondly, to perform better and better without even realising the capacity to perform. Thirdly, increasing competition to outsmart each other ie. unhealthy competition

To minimise the problem of depression parents and teachers play an important role to give a proper guidance to their childrens so that thay wont get stresssed out . To minimise the depression we should  ask them first to self help themself.

  • Let them talk to one person about your feelings.
  • Help someone else by volunteering.
  • Ask a loved one to check in with you regularly.
  • Accompany someone to the movies, a concert, or a small get-together.
  • Call or email an old friend.
  • Go for a walk with a workout buddy.
  • Schedule a weekly dinner date.
  • Meet new people by taking a class or joining a club.
  • Confide in a counselor, therapist, or clergy

Depression can also occur when a person is attempting to deal with unpleasant childhood memories.

It can also caused by certain events in person's life like loss of a loved one, loss of a job ,poor grades, financial difficulties, relationship problems etc.

Yes.. I agree to ur views. There are many such factors causing stress leading to depression.I think we should go for regular stress check up

1. Avoid people who stressed you out

2. Take control of your environment

3. Express your feelings to others

4. Manage your time better

5. Focus on the positive things

Well I agree to most of ur mentioned points but i ve a question here whether v can really avoid people who stress us out even if dey are a part of our daily life????????????

To reduce stress which slowly leads to depression are :

1.Accept that you cannot control everything.

2.You should maintain a positive attitude.

3.Eat well-balanced meals.

4.Take time to practice yoga, listen to music, meditate, or learn any other relaxation techniques.

5.Get enough sleep.

Great points...true...
