I recently came across a few long-standing blogs that never crossed my path during my Google searches, and I was thinking that a Classroom 2.0 discussion about blog-sharing might be helpful, since we are members of "the social network for educators using collaborative technologies".

If you have a blog you'd like to share, either your own, or one that you'd recommend, post a reply with a link to the blog, the author's name, the focus of the blog, and perhaps a few words about why you find it interesting or useful.

Update: Follow me on Twitter

Here are my blogs:

TechPsych
Interactive Multimedia Technology

I have another blog that I use to post my reflections about what I'm learning in my mid-life journey as a computer/tech student:
The World Is My Interactive Interface

(I changed the name of the blog to reflect my current topics.)

Update 6/15/10
It has been a very busy school year!  The exciting news is that one of my schools has a multi-touch SMARTTable, and every classroom has an interactive whiteboard.  The teachers worked very hard to ramp up their IWB skills and I'm amazed at how quickly this interactive technology was adopted.    Of course, interactive applications and websites are pretty awesome on a huge screen or display!    The best part is that this technology has opened up the minds of a good number of students with severe autism characteristics.

In April, I participated in a workshop at ACM's 2010 CHI conference. The topic of the workshop focused on the next generation of human-computer interaction and education.

I also joined the SparkOn group, "a social platform for people that are sparked (inspired) by creative and emergent technologies"

School Beyond the Walls / L'Ecole Hors les Murs

http://horslesmurs.ning.com

This is mainly an european educational network but we have also contributors and members from all the continents (US, China, Cameroon, Singapore, Jordan, Israel...)

Original Features:
1. we mix teachers AND students to create international and collaborative projects (see our groups or the central box on Main Page)
2. we fight against global standardization generated by the exclusive use of english language... In our network, we speak in english, french, italian, romanian, lithuanian, polish, arabic, chinese...
3. we encourage abilities to produce contents by interaction. No "only-readers" in our network
4. anyone can join us, if new teachers members try to involve their students with us...

Have a nice day, Lynn
love the Voki!.
the first one is to introduce the network, the second one is... my son ;-) to try how my pupils could say poems with voki...
My students are using Vincent's network! It is wonderful and we are happy to have had the opportunity to collaborate, thanks to Classroom 2.0! :)

I just invited my daughter, who studied French in high school, to join Hors les Murs. She is taking university-level French now, and is majoring in communications and psychology. I
Vincent,

What you are doing to support the use of languages is inspiring. I know a little French, so I'm happy to have the opportunity to practice reading it. Thanks!

Lynn
Hi Lynn,

As school psychologist, maybe you will be interested by a new activity in progress on School Beyond the Walls about Education to Sexuality. First topic : what is "falling in love" ? with my one hundred Grade 7 students... first classroom , second classroom (personnaly, i fall in love too easily, as sang Chet Baker ;-) . I'll create soon a new kind of philosophy learning and interacting page about love...
You'll find also a link to a big exhibition in France about education to sexuality... (very funny !)

Have a nice evening, here it's the black night ;-)
Vincent
I am not a great blogger. This will be, perhaps, a first successful attempt. I do like the feelings here. Teachers, as some kids' say, are way cool.
Your faces would be great for one of my group counseling activities: "Your Face is a Mirror of Your Feelings"! Great blog.

-Lynn
