Some of you may already know about a wiki that I created a couple of years ago that focused on matching a variety of Web 2.0 tools to the 9 categories of effective classroom instruction (Marzano's Classroom Instruction That Works), but I wanted to announce that I've moved the wiki to it's own URL and given it a major update/overhaul. Instead of running off of a Joomla package, it is now running on MediaWiki (the same web software that Wikipedia uses) so it is a real wiki now.

The new URL is: http://Web2ThatWorks.com

After just a quick glance over recent forum discussions posted on Classroom 2.0, I see so many great examples that SHOULD be included in the Web 2.0 That Works wiki.

I am inviting anyone and everyone to participate in the wiki by sharing your examples of Web 2.0 tools/activities that exemplify effective instruction (based on Classroom Instruction That Works).

Here is how to contribute to the wiki --

1) Register to be a member (link is on first page of the wiki)

2) Find the category of Classroom Instruction That Works that aligns with your example and click on the "edit" tab to add your example to the bottom of the article. You'll see a space at the end for "contributors" to add their own examples.

3) Grab the code (on the first page) to add the "Member & Contributor" badge to your own website or blog.

I know several people are already using the wiki in their own professional development sessions, and I invite anyone who does that to add information about when and where the wiki was shared on the "Current Events" page.

I hope you find the wiki helpful!
Stephanie
