Welcome to CR2.0, Marcela! Don't worry about not being an expert, that's why we're all here learning together. Ask all questions you have, we'd love to help!
Hi, Marcela!

You might want to note that we are looking to do one of our free Web 2.0 workshops for teachers outside of Philly in September. http://www.classroom20wiki.com/Local+Workshops.

Glad to have you here. :)

Steve
Hello. My name is Chris Miller and I work in the public school setting. As an educational administrator, I am really passionate about student learning and am interested in Web 2.0. Hopefully by joining this social network I can increase my knowledge regarding technology integration, model it at my building, and improve student achievement incorporating technology at our setting.
Take Care,
Chris

Welcome to the classroom! It's great to have more administrators here, I look forward to hearing from you in the future!
Hi everyone!
I'm Mary Di Mónaco, from Rosario, Argentina. As I was moving around the web, this site kept coming up as a recommended one, so here I am, ready to continue learning in a collaborative environment. And happy to see some familiar faces, too!

I also came to Classroom 2.0 after seeing it mentioned in many other places. It's great to see you here and welcome to the classroom. Feel free to ask any questions you have!
My name is Gary Storts from Nashville, TN. I work in the central office of the Tenenssee Board of Regents, which governs the state of Tennessee public colleges and universities. I work with statewide online programs.
Hi, Gary! Welcome to Classroom 2.0. Would be interested in how you respond to this environment, and the whole question of social networking in education.

Steve
Steve, I don't think its a matter of how education will respond to the social networking envirnoment, but rather when will they embrace it and all the Web 2.0 activities that are now available.
Yes, I agree. But there are different forms of "social networking," and while we may use the term in positive ways, I expect there are many who would do otherwise. Sounds like you're convinced, anyway. :)

I do think it's more likely that higher ed will embrace Web 2.0 than K-12, maybe largely because of the legal/liability issues relating to younger students. I'm not yet convinced that K-12 will end up embracing...
Hi! I work for the University System in Oregon and am looking to connect with others in Oregon working in the educational technology field. I love collaborating with others and get all geeked up on finding great uses for technology in education.
Hi Lisa. I'm a 3rd/4th grade teacher and tech integration mentor in Southern California. Coming to Classroom 2.0 certainly can get you "geeked up" I always have more ideas to follow-up on and think about than I have time in the day. Welcome!
