Hello Don, welcome to classroom20. Join in the discussions and join some groups and the teaching and learning gets even better. I have found it all so rewarding as well - the use of web2.0 and online learning!!

Glad to have another business educator on board! I'm a bus. ed teacher as well, although I'm currently working with younger grades. I'm also working with online learning, so it sounds like we might have some things in common :-)
Hello Ryan,
Welcome! I look forward to sharing and learning with you.

Hola, I am a Spanish teacher/chairperson in NY (Long Island). My name is Doug and I am always looking for ways to motivate my students. Our school has a lot of access to technology, but many sites are blocked!
Hello Doug. Welcome to this great classroom. I teach with a really technological savvy mandarin Chinese LOTE teacher, who uses an amazing amount of web2.0 tools in her class. A lot of sites are blocked at our school as well, but we work with what we have got. Fortunately some sites can be unblocked by our technicians.
My name is Bill and I am an elementary school principal in New Jersey. One of my favorite quotes goes as follows: "In the land of the blind, the one-eyed is king." While I am, both literally (blinded in one eye from a baseball accident as a teenager) and figuratively (a little behind with some of the most recent technology) one-eyed, I have a sincere and passionate interest in the ability of technology to transform education for our students.

I have recently spent a great deal of personal time exploring the concepts of rigor, relevance, and relationships in the world of education, and I am excited about the possibilities of enhancing education through social networking and global communication. I am convinced that increasing the size and scope of the audience for student work will have a profound impact on the quality of that work.

I am excited to be here and to begin to make connections with others who are further along the learning curve than I am.
Hello Bill. welcome to classroom20. It is wonderful to see principals coming into the classroom as leadership and support, are key needs for adapting web2.0 into our classrooms. Having been a member for 10 months, I have been able to make many connections for sharing, collaborating and teaching

If you're looking for somewhere to increase the scope of the audience for your student work, you're at the right place! Teachers often request "global visitors" and have great response here, I think you'll find the same. There is a group for global collaboration that you might find interesting as well. Social networking is a particular interest of mine, perhaps we could share some ideas!
Hi, my name is Bill Horine. I am a secondary teacher at Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook, Illinois. My chief areas of interest are U.S. History, A.P. classes and anthropology as well as tech issues. I met Steve at the Illinois TCE conference and joined shortly after. I have found Classroom 2.0 to be a fascinating community. I saw immediate potential in this community and so I want folks to know that I have launched a Ning specifically for students, teachers and anyone interested in teaching anthropology. Check it out at http://funzanaanth.ning.com.
Hello Bill. I would love to be able to attend some of the conferences that you have at your access. Classroom20 has been a great community for me where I have made friends, learnt a lot about the potential and use of web2.0 tools for my classes and joined in global projects. It is great to see your use of ning for anthropology teachers
