I recently came across a few long-standing blogs that never crossed my path during my Google searches, and I was thinking that a Classroom 2.0 discussion about blog-sharing might be helpful, since we are members of "the social network for educators using collaborative technologies".

If you have a blog you'd like to share, either your own, or one that you'd recommend, post a reply with a link to the blog, the author's name, the focus of the blog, and perhaps a few words about why you find it interesting or useful.

Here are my blogs:

TechPsych
Interactive Multimedia Technology

I have another blog that I use to post my reflections about what I'm learning in my mid-life journey as a computer/tech student:
The World Is My Interactive Interface

(I changed the name of the blog to reflect my current topics.)

Update 6/15/10
It has been a very busy school year!  The exciting news is that one of my schools has a multi-touch SMARTTable, and every classroom has an interactive whiteboard.  The teachers worked very hard to ramp up their IWB skills and I'm amazed at how quickly this interactive technology was adopted.    Of course, interactive applications and websites are pretty awesome on a huge screen or display!    The best part is that this technology has opened up the minds of a good number of students with severe autism characteristics.

In April, I participated in a workshop at ACM's 2010 CHI conference. The topic of the workshop focused on the next generation of human-computer interaction and education.

I also joined the SparkOn group, "a social platform for people that are sparked (inspired) by creative and emergent technologies"

I want to know how to use your slideshare feature! "What Happens When Students Have a Voice" is excellent. I'll attempt to get my own now. Thanks for showing me this!
Matt,

Thanks. Just go to Slideshare.net. Once you have uploaded something, you have the ability to embed it on a blog or other web page. I use it all the time.

Gerald
I'm at the high school and our firewall is blocking me from slideshare.net. Ugggh. I've requested with our tech dude that it become unblocked. Does one upload powerpoints to one's blog using slideshare? Or, are they a series of jpegs?
You can upload PowerPoint files or PDFs and then Slideshare converts them to Flash animations. If you allow, viewers can download whatever files you uploaded directly. Also, if you have live links in in the presentation or pdf, they appear as links in the Slideshare presentation.
Sounds fantastic! And this is a free application?
Totally free. I use this a lot.
There is another very cool and very useful site. It is Scribd, and you can upload documents which you can then embed on webpages, where others can read, print, and download them.

You can check out how I have been using it here.
Also blocked by our firewall. I'm done supervising the weightlifting room now, so I'll go home, where my computer's slower, but not inhibited by a firewall. Thanks a lot, Gerald!
Soon I'm teaching a blogging class to other teachers in our district. I'll show them what you've shown me. Exponential progress is just great, isn't it?--especially when you've sparked it!? Thanks a lot.
Very nice blog. I really like what you have up there.

Getting into everyone's bogs is going to make for some good reading. I just started one of my own called TechDaddy. It's my attempt to share what I feel are valuable websites, computer programs and integration techniques.

I also keep one to keep my parents informed of what is going on in class at PBWiki.
This blog topic has had a long life! Exploring the Classroom 2.0 EduBlogSphere will certainly keep us busy over the summer. I look forward to this journey.
Hi there. Here is a link to my computer apps and cyber culture class
