Hi, I am trying to find the best, most private, yet simple blog or wiki site to use within a classroom. I am also looking for one to use with teachers as a way for them to collaborate with one another.

Blogger couldn't be any easier, here's my blog--looks nice with no effort.
Blogger is used only for blogs. We use other programs for other stuff. You can see all the stuff we've done here. I look at my student's blog everyday, I could delete anything untoward---we have had 35,000 visits in 3 years and I have never had a "bad" thing happen. Fear is paralyzing.
Colleen, Let me know if you have any other questions. Good Luck, N.
www.edublogs.org seems to work best for me. It gives me all the controls I wanted in a blog host. I see everything sent to my email address before it is posted to the blog. I can easily approve or deny any comment or post made. Students can get their own login IDs and given varying levels of permissions.
