Good news,
OpenOffice 3.0 will be officially released tomorrow and you can
download it now. This 3.0 release has
many new features, including support for Microsoft's latest formats (like .docx). And for Mac users, for the first time ever, you can run OpenOffice without hassling with X11. I've tried it and it works nicely.
How many people have been waiting for OpenOffice to work on Macs?
How many have been holding out on other platforms but will try it again with this big new release?
And if you don't like OpenOffice, what does it need before you'll use it?
