I am hoping to begin a study group on Debbie Miller's latest book with my colleagues at school. Does anyone have or know of any "study guides" available? I've done book studies before and they always seem to go better when we have common questions to tackle as a STARTING point for our discussions.

Also, if we have enough interest, maybe we can try to conduct an ONLINE study through this discussion forum. I'd post some general thoughts and questions for each chapter and then you all could respond.

Let me know what you think. I'd like to get our group back into the groove here at Classroom 2.0. We've got educators from all over the world--why not take advantage of all that experience?

Hope to hear back from all of you soon!

I'd love to join in! I'm a HUGE fan of reading with meaning!!!
Yay! Count me in. Can't wait to start.
I consider Debbie Miller my unofficial mentor for teaching reading comprehension...so YES!!! Count me in!!!!! I bet we could get her to join in....do you think?
My book JUST arrived via Amazon.com today. I opened the box, picked it up, and read for 10 minutes straight. Good stuff!!! SO incredibly inspiring. Do you all have a copy of it? If so, let's set a start date and begin the discussion. Then whomever wants to join in may do so as they please.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Michelle
Count me in too. I don't have the book yet (it's on order) but I do have the downloaded version from Stenhouse. I am going to see Debbie Miller on Tuesday (Can't wait!!!)
