NECC Meet-up for Classroom 2.0?

I thought it might be fun to do some kind of meet-up at NECC for members of Classroom 2.0. NECC is going to have a "bloggers cafe" area at the show--would it make sense to pick a time (or a couple of times) when people might just gather for a short time to say hi?

(Also: should make another plug for our free, all-day "unconference" called EduBloggerCon 2007, the Saturday before NECC in Atlanta. More information at www.EduBloggerCon.com.)

I think this is a great idea. This is going to be my first time at NECC. I'm also planning to use this group to get some tips and advice for how to navigate what seems like an overwhelming conference.

Use the online conference planner! Select anything you might possibly want to see, even if events potentially conflict. It creates a nice list of things to do in case a session isn't what you bargained for. I also think it's nice to have a laptop with you so you can take notes... usually there's wireless internet. I also tend select a theme such as blogging or digital storytelling and select sessions based on that. Hope this helps!

I'm there beginning the evening of the 22nd. A session I signed up for was rescheduled for Tuesday the 25th pm until 8:pm. Since I'll be jet lagged, probably I'll be looking for engaging conference-sation in the morning before sessions or workshops start......

I think that would be a GREAT idea! This is going to be my first NECC and I'm so excited, I feel like a little kid waiting on Christmas! :-) I wish that I had known about the "unconference" before I made reservations. I will for next year! Have fun!

How Exciting!
I would love to meet up. School ends for me on the 22nd of June so I won't make it to Atlanta until late on the 23rd (coming from Seattle). Could you please consider having the meeting on the 24th or later?

Hi all,
It would be fun to meet everyone going to NECC! One way to do it is to meet at the opening reception Sunday night, kill two birds with one stone... Steve could wear a funny hat and our job would be to find him!
