Archival Photographs in Early Years

This is a topic I enjoyed preparing and the teachers found interesting. From locating ancestors to searching for history, from letters, journals, and especially archival photographs, people of all ages can have fun and learn at the same time. Ah, a kindred spirit. I love using primary sources in the classroom and have a blog about it called A Very Old Place. You can also see projects we've done using primary sources here including Guardians of Freedom, CSI: Cemetery Scene Investigation, Titanic in the Classroom and Exploring Leonardo.

Hi Nancy and thanks so much for your response. I will be checking out your blog shortly, and I and my teachers thank you for expanding our horizons on this topic and the much needed resources. We need to pass the message on to others that history does not have to be boring, and it can be introduced in the early years, in a creative and challenging way. Thanks again!
