The discussions are the 'big' topics on the front page--sometimes people post queries and other interesting stuff in this 'Introduction' section but not everybody reads the intros. N

Hey guys! My name is Betsy Cottrell and I'm a 2nd grade teacher at Hardin Park Elementary School in Boone, NC. I love teaching, but I'm trying to find new and exciting ways to incorporate technology into the classroom. Actually, I'm always on the look out for new and exciting things to do in the classroom with ANYTHING! I'm really flexible and LOVE to get my students excited about learning. I'm also getting my MA degree right now at Appalachain State University. I'm getting my MA in Instructional Technology. I decided to join this program to get ideas and to discuss with other teachers about TONS of different things.
Hello, I'm rather new to the world of Web 2.0
I've tried out the technologies myself....but have not yet used much with actual students. I want to begin, and have been encouraged by all the information I've found. I need some practical ideas for how to begin because it seems like endless possibilities. I'm just now trying to create a wiki for one of my classes. I also want ideas for the students grades K-5 when I teach computers. I currently work in a small school setting.
Thanks for any and all suggestions!
