I embed podcasts into my wiki; for the kids to enhance their studying and complare their notes if they are confused.

the feed is to the wiki not just the video files.

So, yes the file is not a podcast as it is static and will always be that video, but the wiki is dynamic and one can subscribe to it and be kept up to date on the latest and greatest activity.
I "podcast" our social studies vocabulary for my classes. They can listen on line or download to their computers, iPods or mp3 Player. I also do book talk podcasts after kids read books in lit circles. They are not true podcasts because they don't occur on a regular basis.
Last year we tried to podcast once a week. We were semi successful at that
