Have you created a Ning for your school?

I work at an Independent Study/Homeschooling charter school. I hope to create a Ning for students in grades 7-12 in the Fall. For now, I have created a Ning for the homeschooling parents to collaborate and make connections. The launch date will be sometime in May, at which time I will send an invitation to 1000+ parents. I hope to delegate moderation of a few of the groups to others at the school.

I would love to hear from anyone who has started a Ning for their school. Any advice for moderation, management, and facilitating discussions? Thank you!

Thank you for sharing. The students did a wonderful job with the content. I like the groups they came up with. Good idea on having them create it to take ownership of the network.
