iGoogle?

We've taught all our freshman and juniors, and some of our seniors.
Some of them use it more than others, but my coworker and I think iGoogle is one of the most useful tools out there so we're sharing with as many kids as we can.

Any chance you could share your handouts or ideas of how you taught students iGoogle page, Google Reader and or Google docs? Thanks.

I don't have much specifically for teaching students, but I did professional development sessions on all of the above...
I didn't have real lesson plans, but I did create notes of what I wanted to cover and in what order. The notes probably make more sense to me than anyone else, but hopefully they help a bit.

iGoogle is fine for adults but be careful about using iGoogle with students. There are a lot of inappropriate gadgets they can place on their homepage (ie, hot babe of the day).

Good point. Our head of tech has also been concerned about students evading the filter and installing facebook and music gadgets.

That said, iGoogle made college life much, much easier and more organized for me, so I think it's definitely worth sharing with students.
