Hi everyone! I thought it would be nice to hear from the librarians and media-specialists (or those who are still in school) out there in Classroom 2.0.

I am Rhonda Crim-Tumelson, graduate student at the University of Alabama. I am planing a career in private schools; hopefully in California.

I'm Megan, and I'm a teacher librarian at a small 7-12 school in Indiana. I've only just moved into the librarian position, so I'm looking for new ways to integrate Web 2.0 tools throughout the curriculum and I'm working on changing my school's perception of the library.

Hi! My name is Donna and I am a teacher librarian in Michigan. I have taught all levels K-12. I have mainly worked in an urban district that is struggling with achievement and drop-out rates. The teachers in my district do the best we can but struggle with a variety of issues including the one most closely linked with academic achievement - low socioeconomic status (SES). IMHO, the biggest problem is the lack of valuing an education from parents on down. If the parents have not graduated or don't value education, then neither will their children for the most part. If we can get the parents on board and educate them then we have a good chance with the children. Enough said.

I am excited to be part of Classroom 2.0 and this group. I look forward to hearing from others in a wide diversity of areas and with a wide variety of duties.
